  • Jenny MacMurdo, President & CEO Jenny MacMurdo, President & CEO

    Jenny MacMurdo recently joined the Carmel Chamber staff as President/CEO in 2017, after serving as the Lemoore (CA) Chamber of Commerce CEO for three years. Jenny has a BA in Theatre, and an MFA in Theatrical Directing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Before moving to California and joining the Chamber World, she taught theatre for 8 years, was a freelance director, and served as the Artistic Director for SIUC’s summerstock theatre company for two seasons. She is currently finishing her third year of W.A.C.E. Academy, and was a finalist for the 2016 Hammer Memorial Award. Her effective communication, critical thinking, leadership, and collaborative skills fuel her passion for assisting business owners and entrepreneurs realize their full potential, developing community collaborations, and fostering the development of strong future leaders.

    Krystlyn GiedtKrystlyn joined the Carmel Chamber of Commerce in 2012 after coordinating our signature annual event, Taste of Carmel. Krystlyn has a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications, Multimedia and Applied Computing with an emphasis in design from California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB). She has a passion for all things community, problem solving, marketing, and technology. Krystlyn volunteers whenever possible and helps nonprofits by working on committees, designing collateral, and helping plan events.

  • Kimberly Wolff, Director of Member Relations Kimberly Wolff, Director of Member Relations

    Kimberly Wolff joined the Carmel Chamber of Commerce as Director of Member Relations in 2017 after collaborating as an account executive for the Chamber’s annual publication, the Guide To Carmel. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, Kimberly enjoyed a long career as a Registered Dental Hygienist but always followed her passions. She attended culinary school and owned her own small bakery while still practicing dental hygiene. Her experiences after leaving dentistry include hospitality management, event planning, retail management, and advertising sales for Carmel Magazine. Kimberly is a longtime Carmel resident, is deeply rooted in the community, and strongly supports local businesses. Her love of Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula and her philosophy that all businesses have the potential to thrive if we support one another and work together makes this the ideal role for her. Her ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, and inspire others creates positivity and cohesiveness. Kimberly lives in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and is a familiar face around town, on the beach, walking or running the trails, and as one of the area’s most loved yoga instructors. She often donates private and group yoga sessions and events as a way of giving back to the community and to promote a healthy lifestyle for our residents and visitors.

    Kathleen joined the Carmel Chamber of Commerce in April 2017. 

  • Sandra Book, Tourism Manager Sandra Book, Tourism Manager

    Sandra BookSandra Book joined the Carmel Chamber initially as a volunteer in the Visitor Center, and loving the work she did as a volunteer, she eventually became part of the staff as the Visitor Center Assistant in September of 2015. Before becoming a volunteer at the Visitor Center, Sandra spent 10 years as a Real Estate Broker in the San Jose, Silicon Valley area. Earlier her career was in sales, holding positions as a National Sales Manager and Sales Representative for various U.S. manufacturers. Sandra lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, which was a longtime dream of hers, and enjoys the fruits of living in paradise, an urban style of living, but in a quaint little hamlet. Her love of Carmel makes her perfect for her job at the Visitor Center, helping tourists and locals experience all that Carmel has to offer and connecting them with local businesses. Sandra still finds time to volunteer for various events: Alzheimer’s Association, Carmel International Film Festival, Pebble Beach Food and Wine and the Sunset Center Gala.
