Carmel International Film Festival
The Carmel International Film Festival provides a platform and stage for hundreds of independent filmmakers and brings many of them together for a five-day community celebration of their artistic accomplishments. Although the five-day festival is focused on screening independent film, the Carmel International Film Festival also includes educational seminars designed to help young and upcoming filmmakers further their careers. The objective of these educational panels is twofold: help young filmmakers navigate an increasingly difficult media/film landscape, and provide insight on how to collaborate effectively to bring a project to fruition. Making films is hard, and it requires a broad skill set to be successful. We strive to provide education on some of those skills. We estimate that we reach hundreds of filmmakers, students and other industry professionals.
