Did you know that more that 2,300 people in the Monterey area are homeless on any given night? This includes families and children without parents. All Saints’ Church is one of the community of churches providing hunger relief. Small Bites for BIG Hunger
helps fund this program.
Proceeds from the funds raised during this fun 2017 event will enable All Saints' Church to:
- Address the unexpected, immediate needs of our Big Sur community
- Continue to provide non-perishable daily food bags to anyone in need, with larger food boxes distributed during the holidays
- Regular support at Epiphany Lutheran & Episcopal Church in the Marina area; the Thomas Carman Food Pantry and the Marina Senior Market that provides fresh, high-quality produce on a weekly basis
- Monthly dinners and ongoing support for Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (community I-HELP) guests
Anyone needing a bag of food can drop by All Saints’ Church, whose food pantry serves hundreds of people – including children, seniors, and whole families. Bags of rice, soups, cereals, peanut butter, beans, fruit, and other nutritious items are purchased with funds from Small Bites for BIG Hunger. In addition, Small Bites supports the Thomas Carmel Food Pantry in Marina and the Food Bank of Monterey County, where a $1 donation provided $7 worth of food distributed locally.
