This innovative and acclaimed version, directed for PacRep by Kenneth Kelleher, was adapted by Michael Hollinger and Aaron Posner, and stars PacRep Founder and Executive Director, Stephen Moorer, as the legendary swordsman with the large nose, and even larger heart, Cyrano de Bergerac. Literature's most famous love triangle is completed by the beautiful Roxane, played by Equity actor Jennifer LeBlanc, and her handsome (but uneducated) suitor, Christian, played by Equity actor Justin Gordon.
With its original setting, and featuring lush period costumes of 17th century France, the new script has been given a snappy and humorous 21st century adaptation. Cyrano tells the story of a great swordsman with a beautiful soul, who is hampered by a huge nose that makes him believe he is incapable of being loved by the stunning Roxane. When he learns that Roxane and a handsome young soldier named Christian are infatuated with each other, he writes romantic love letters for her suitor that lead to a calamitous love triangle. An ensemble cast of nine actors brings a rollicking theatricality to this epic tale. Filled with swordplay, romance and amped-up humor, critics nationwide have said that this is the “funniest Cyrano they have ever seen!”
