Awards of Excellence

Sunset Center, 2011 Business of The YearThe Awards of Excellence event is annual formal event which recognizes outstanding Chamber businesses in our community. Invitations are mailed out the first week of November, and the event will be held in December . Winners are not announced until the night of the event, so representatives of all businesses on the ballot are strongly encouraged to attend.
Awards of Excellence Purpose: β€œIn recognition of Carmel businesses that excel in quality service and/or products, practice the highest business ethics, foster a beautiful Carmel environment and exemplify enlightened customer service and staff relations.”


AWARDS:
The business receiving a majority of votes in each category, will receive an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE at the annual event held in December.

NOMINATION PROCESS:

  • In mid-September, nomination forms are provided to each CCC member and are available in the Carmel Visitor Center (San Carlos btwn 5th & 6th).

  • Nomination forms may be submitted by a resident, visitor, or business.

  • Only one business may be nominated per category.

  • Nominees must be a CCC Member.

  • Only ORIGINAL nomination forms will be accepted. No copies, faxes, etc.

  • The top 3 businesses receiving the most nominations in each category will be placed on a ballot.

  • A business owner has more than one membership for separate entities, and more than one of the entities is in the top three slots in a category: The business owner may decide whether to refuse the nomination for one of their member businesses, or to allow their entities to compete against each other.

BALLOT PROCESS: CCC members will receive an Awards of Excellence ballot in late October, listing the top 3 nominated businesses in each category. Members will vote for one business per category. Only CCC members may vote.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD:
The business of the year will be named from the highest vote-getter on the ballot and will be awarded at the event.
